Different
cultures in our country
To talk about
culture or any other subject we should understand perfectly well
the direct meaning of the topic under discussion. The word culture
has many different meanings. But the most important for us now is
the following. Culture is an aggregate of material and ecclesiastical
worth, created by society which characterizes level of cultivation
of society. If we talk about individual we mean the level of social
and mental development.
Each nation has its own culture but the development of this culture
is different. There are many factors that influence this process.
In the case of cooperation between different nations, that live
on the same territory, same cultures have much in common. If we
talk about our country such nations as Russians, Lithuanians, Polish,
Byelorussians and Ukrainians have lived together in Lithuania for
a long time.
This all means that people have not only some similarities in languages
but also in the way of thinking. Certainly, there are many differences
and each nation has its own unique cultural features and we are
proud of them. I think that now it is rather hard to reckon yourself
to any of these cultures. Maybe some of us think that their culture
is, for example Russian, but we have lived here for such a long
time ,that it is too hard to hedge off from influences of other
cultures.
