“World Heritage photo quest” is an interactive online quest
that takes students on a virtual journey along World Heritage sites around
the world. The students learn more about the cultural and natural sites
of outstanding universal value inscribed on the World Heritage List. World
Heritage photo game is an activity that has strong links with the UNESCO
World Heritage Convention. Play this online photo game and challenge yourself
to find out what the names of the sites are, where they are located and
which culture they represent.

Practical
information

Find
out what World Heritage is and try to discover World Heritage sites in
your own country.
- To start the activity, visit the Time site: www.timeproject.org
- You will find World Heritage photo quest under the button ‘activities’
- Start with photo number 1 and take the photo game from there
- After seeing the photos, the students will look for the correct site
names
- When the student finishes the game, a frame will appear with more information
about the World Heritage sites.

Technical
information

Since
the World Heritage photo quest takes place on the Internet, schools will
have to have access to a computer with Netscape Communicator or Internet
Explorer.

This
activity needs no preparation. According to the number of photos and student’s
search for the good answers, this activity can vary from half an hour
to 2 hours.
