“This is Our Time”:

Time Project 2016

Time and Time Again

CALL FOR PARTICIPATION

September 2016
Dear Sir or Madam

We are excited to invite you to be part of Time Project 2016.

A 24 hour learning marathon starting at 00:00 GMT on Time Day Friday November 25th 2016 for one day throughout all time zones, the youth of the world will connect through TIME PROJECT. TIME offers a wide variety of activities such as video conferencing, the online research game ‘Unite the Nations’, a Model United Nations Video Conference Simulation, a case study in community sustainability through CUSO- International’s EsArtes/Suchitoto Initiative, and Classroom Twinning – Blogging Activities. Over the years well over 1000 schools and youth groups from 80 countries have participated in the Time Project all on a single day – Time Day.

During Time 2016 the Time participants from around the globe will learn about and share findings centered on the topics of Gender Based Discrimination, Policing and The Use of Lethal Force, Crisis in The Democratic Process as well as a Case Study on local development through youth action and the arts. There will be a look at the NEW 17 Sustainable Development Goals with a special focus on (SDG 5 >Gender Equality) As well a series of ICC Mock Trials will also take place as organized through our TIME Partners at World Class Schools.
This is our Time was originally initiated for the UNESCO Associated Schools Project and was one of their first ASPnet flagship projects. Today Time is currently organized by Time Project Headquarters in Canada in co-operation with Taking It Global for Educators whose mission is to empower youth to understand and act on the world’s greatest challenges. Travel the world without packing your suitcase! Grab the opportunity to learn from and about other young people!

Get involved! Be an ambassador!

We want you to join the TIME PROJECT because “This Is Our Time” to stand up and have our youth voices heard “Time and Time Again” on Time Day November 25th 2016.

We aim for two participating schools from every time zone on earth. If your school, UNESCO Club or youth and social justice oriented organization would like to participate – it is free! Feel free to contact us by e-mail.
